ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
International academic conferences can be exciting opportunities for learning, networking, and professional growth. However, the practical skills required to navigate them — from selecting the right conference to confidently presenting your work and building meaningful connections — are rarely taught formally. Much of this knowledge is shared informally, leaving many early-career researchers feeling underprepared or overwhelmed.
Going Global is designed to bridge this gap by offering practical, experience-based guidance on attending and presenting at international academic conferences with confidence and clarity.
Why does this workshop matter?
The skills needed to successfully participate in international conferences are often learned through trial and error. This workshop aims to make that process more accessible by sharing practical insights, strategies, and lessons that are typically unavailable through formal academic training.
Whether you are preparing for your first international conference or looking to improve your experience at future events, this workshop will help you navigate the process more effectively and confidently.
