ABOUT THE WEBINAR

This webinar explores the principles of Open Science and their role in promoting transparency, reproducibility, and research integrity in the social and behavioural sciences. It will introduce emerging approaches to research evaluation, peer review, and replication, including the use of AI-powered tools, while highlighting opportunities for collaboration and strengthening Open Science practices in India.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Demystify Open Science: Provide a foundational understanding of the movement beyond just "open access."

  2. Encourage Rigor: Explain the importance of replication and transparency in 'checking, maintaining, and improving the usefulness and trustworthiness of the scientific record'.

  3. Innovate Evaluation: Introduce the concept of "living documents" and open, quantitative peer review, including AI-led evaluations.

  4. Community Building: Serve as a "soft launch" for future in-person Evaluation and Replication Games in India.
