The inspiring effect of love on creativity is not a new concept, with artists like Van Gogh and writers like John Keats deriving their greatest inspirations for creation from love, or the lack of it. Although abundant research exists on mood states and creativity, the relationship between love and creativity has yet to be observed in depth. Through an analysis of existing evidence of the relationship between the two concepts, this blog aims to touch upon the intricacies of human emotion– how it can shape, magnify, and even fuel our creative endeavours.
