The focus of criminal activity usually stays on the criminal’s intentions, but it is also necessary to focus upon the other aspects which could be responsible for the crime. The social disorganization theory helps us do that as it advises us to go beyond focusing on intentions. With the correct application of this theory, we will be able to widen our understanding of why and how children get involved in delinquency.
