The association between creativity and mood disorders has intrigued scholars, psychologists, and artists alike for decades. Numerous studies have aimed at understanding the connections between these seemingly disparate aspects of human experience. While anecdotal evidence suggests that individuals with mood disorders are susceptible to heightened creative tendencies, this relationship is far from straightforward.
Global food supply chains have been described as the primary source of modern slavery and child labour. This article looks at slavery within the much-loved chocolate industry and focuses on measures taken by Cadbury, a multinational company that is a leading manufacturer of cocoa and chocolate; and compares it with the practices embraced by a newly established organization named Tony’s Chocolonely. It ends with a call of action urging multinational companies to adopt a more sustainable approach to supply chain management.
