The Female Labor Force Participation Rate (FLFPR) has been declining in India, since the past decade. The underlying issue of low female participation lies in social norms and contexts. While traditional policies help, they attack the symptoms and not the primary cause. Behavioral interventions provide a solution to the causes and can incentivize better behavior. This blog highlights the interventions to encourage women to be a part of the labor force and limit the bias of employers while employing female employees.
