Human brain is wired to process information in a biased manner which determines important decisions in life. However, these biased decisions can have important implications for society, especially among those who hold positions of power in the country. Therefore, this article highlights a study which analyzed cognitive biases underlying socio-political perspectives of political representatives.

As social beings, most of us are inherently inclined to provide emotional support to our loved ones in distress. Being accurately empathetic allows us to objectively provide comfort to others, be there for them emotionally without being overwhelmed and without losing our sense of self. While being the right amount of empathetic can be fulfilling to both the provider and the recipient, can too much empathy be a bad thing?
