Smoking is a pervasive problem and distinct methods have been employed to address it- from advertisement campaigns on print and digital media to printing gruesome pictures of damaged lungs on cigarette packets. Recently, a television channel changed the way it nudges its viewers to quit smoking by harnessing the power of descriptive norms and persuasion. However, it begs the question of how effective it will turn out to be.
