The COVID-19 has exposed the global population to an unprecedented time, creating a sudden requirement for behavioural shift. Yet, governments across the world are finding it difficult to make sure that this desired behavioural change in wearing masks and social distancing is ubiquitous. The current article explores the reason for the lack of public compliance from the socio-cognitive perspective.
