The Lodhas of Midnapore are a group of indigenous people who have fought centuries of stigmatization and continue to be one of the Vulnerable Tribal Groups today. They face tremendous inequities and hardships. Government and non-governmental action is trying to make a difference to their lives as research gradually highlights their problems to the forefront.
