Multiple Sclerosis: An Unpredictable Disease

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition that affects an individual’s brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects nerves (myelin) is damaged. Four types or stages of MS have been identified: relapsing-remitting MS, primary progressive MS, secondary progressive MS, and progressive relapsing MS. The symptoms may manifest in the form of fatigue, spasticity, weakness, tingling sensations, bladder problems, bowel problems, sexual problems, pain and weakness, and emotional problems.
